The Most Amazing East Coast Vacation

Hi all!  My family and I just came back from the most amazing vacation to the east coast.  It took me about 1-month to plan the entire vacation.  In 15 days we visited 6 states: Virginia (including Washington DC), New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.  Modes of transportation used were plane, car, bus, train and ferry boats.  All-in-all, we spent approximately $5000 on the entire trip (including airfare, car rental, bus fares, train fares, boat fares, lodging, meals, gas & miscellaneous expenses).  In my next posts, I will talk about the cities and landmarks we visited, travel tips, places to dine, cost-effective traveling, ways to score great deals via the Internet, how to pack for a lengthy trip and how traveling with kids can be a joy.  It is appropriate to describe this as "The Most Amazing New England Vacation" and of course "The Most Amazing East Coast Vacation".  Visiting these areas was always a desire of mine!  I was so blessed to have had the opportunity to visit these areas with my husband and daughter!
